Qatar Extends Global and Domestic Minimum Tax Registration Deadline to 31 January 2027
Qatar’s General Tax Authority (GTA) has extended the registration deadline for the Global and Domestic Minimum Tax to 31 January 2027. The extension applies to multinational enterprise groups and joint venture groups required to register through the Dhareeba platform.

Qatar’s General Tax Authority (GTA) has announced an extension of the registration deadline for the Global and Domestic Minimum Tax framework, allowing affected multinational enterprise groups and joint venture groups additional time to complete their registration.
Under the revised deadline, groups subject to the Global and Domestic Minimum Tax provisions must complete their registration through the Dhareeba electronic tax platform no later than 31 January 2027.
The extension is intended to provide additional time for affected groups to prepare the required information, fulfil registration requirements and comply with their tax obligations under Qatar’s minimum tax framework.
The registration service was launched on 2 August 2026 through the Dhareeba platform. It enables groups falling within the scope of the Global and Domestic Minimum Tax provisions to submit the necessary data and information and appoint a Designated Local Entity (DLE).
The appointed Designated Local Entity is responsible for fulfilling the relevant registration, notification and tax return filing obligations in accordance with Qatar’s applicable tax regulations.
The General Tax Authority has urged all groups covered by these provisions to use the extended period to prepare the required documentation and complete their registration before the revised deadline.
The extension reflects the Authority’s efforts to facilitate taxpayer compliance and support the effective implementation of Qatar’s Global and Domestic Minimum Tax framework.
